ZeroRH+ Sunglasses - A Look Inside

Up first are the "See Safe" lenses that are made of a Polycarbonate with UV protection, the ZeroRH+ "See Safe" lenses are made with soft, flexible material called "nxt-soft" with a lifetime shatterproof guarantee. They will protect your eyes from impacts, cuts, scratches, chemicals and atmospheric agents. In other words, ZeroRH+ has you covered from anything that might get into your eyes while riding. Seriously, anything! The "See Safe" Varia photocromatic lenses are more for really low light riding conditions, like you folks who leave work when it's light and get home when it's dark. With the Varia photo chromatic lenses, you have a huge range of lighting adjustment from 92% (deep forests, long tunnels, the underworld) to 25% visual coverage (Seattle, Oregon, all of Autumn anywhere except Vegas where its always sunny).
You can also get Green Varia Lenses. Again, these are "See Safe" Lenses, but the Green Varia Lenses have a greater variety of color change in different lighting conditions. These lenses are perfect for overcast rides, like in Coastal communities where the sun has a chance to not only peak out, but burn your retinas out when they glare off the water. The Green Varia Lenses transition from 40% in overcast conditions to 12% when the sun comes out.
The "See Safe" lenses are not the only lenses ZeroRH+ has perfected. They also carry "See Comfort" lenses. The "See Comfort" lenses are made specifically for Zero RH+ by a company called Zeiss. Zeiss is a world renowned optics company who is the leader in developing eyeglass lens designs, coatings and materials. Through intensive research and development, Zeiss Vision continually creates innovative new products that bring better vision to people in all aspects of their lives -- all around the globe.
Another type of lens ZeroRH+ offers is the "See Ice" lenses that are designed to protect your visual clarity in even the brightest conditions. Perfect for use with full sun they are perfect for those high mountain rides.
There is also a "See Sea" lens to significantly increase visual performance in marine environments. You are ensured to have a clear view of the horizon while being protected by the brightness of the sun and those brutal reflections off the water with these sunglasses. They are also great with the changing wind conditions that being by the water brings.
Last, but certainly not least in the "See Series" are the "See Polar" lenses that are also made by Zeiss and are polarized to completely cancel out any reflections coming from horizontal surfaces, like water reflections or glare off auto glass.
If you need to optimize contrast and reduce glare, the photo chromic lenses are for you. Sorry, they don't have a fancy trademarked name that starts with "See". But they don't need one because they can stand on their own. These photo chromic lenses offer a wide range of lighting protection from 25% for those cloudy days to a full 92% on the bright ones.
Next up are the ZeroRH+ Polar Varia Lenses which are polar photo chromatic lenses. In layman's terms, this means that they are polarizing and photo chromatic at the same time. They will easily cancel out all the reflections that come from the horizontal surfaces like road glare or metal reflection. Plus, they adjust to the ambient lighting so you don't find yourself riding in the dark with sunglasses on just to protect your eyes. They are perfect for battling reflection off of the water or snow so they are recommended for seaside riding as well as lake and alpine locations. The lenses transition from 30% in overcast skies to 12% in sunny situations.
Now that you know the lenses, you have to figure out which frames to choose and there are plenty of those as well in both Redline styles and Blueline styles. Regardless of whether you choose the Redline or the Blueline of frames, they will be all but weightless and the rubber nose piece keeps the sunglasses in place even when you're sweating like a Sumo Wrestler on round five. The ZeroRH+ line of sunglasses are so advanced that when we saw them at the Interbike convention and tried a few pairs on, we had to carry them because we know you will love them as much as we do.
