The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella by Stephenie Meyer
"The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner" is a story described from the viewpoint of Bree Tanner, a character in Eclipse. The book will be released on June 5 and the first print order is that of 1.5 million copies. One dollar from each book sold will go to the American Red Cross International Response Fund which will then be routed to the relief efforts going into the Haiti and Chile.
It Started As A Fun Story
Stephenie Meyer herself is surprised from the publication of the story in the book form. She began to work on the idea in 2005, at the time when she was editing Eclipse. It was only intended to be a short story which would have been uploaded on her website. Later she thought it fit to add the story to the "The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide", though the story kept growing longer and became 192 pages long.
