Personal Statements with Original Figurative Art
Figurative art – art that shows the human form, in one way or another – is a popular choice for the walls of one's house. Whether it's a portrait, a nude or a modernist piece, figurative art can add a human dimension to the decoration of a room: a refreshing and often individual change from the landscapes, still lives and abstract works that so often adorn the empty spaces above sofas, armchairs and bureaux.
Figurative art works because it displays the form most known to us – the human body. Humans are naturally interested in other humans: their expressions, their moods and emotions. Figurative art, in capturing these moods, captures the essence of what it means to be human.
