I could begin and end this article simply by saying "you just do", but I know that more is required when considering the nature of winning over mayhem and chaos in your life and creating the order you want. But I will explain where this article stems from: Recently, I had a few "undesirable" things happen to me that required extra discipline, tact and honesty to deal with on my part. So, I am writing this article hoping that you can take a few lessons from my experiences and thoughts on it.
Are you ready, journey with me into this article now. Think about it, in life, we all come to the "Red Sea" place (to borrow an Ella Wheeler poetic term) where we cannot make "anything out of". That is when we have to have extra discipline, tact and honesty with ourselves in dealing with life, people and everything. That is when we have to summon our strength and work, no matter how it is felt at the time. Because as can be said: Our test is our test and we must pass it to get to the next level. That is about the size of the whole thing and panic is the last thing that should be in the picture. That is the bottom line. Although it is in the beginning part of the article.
Indeed, consider this argument for what I said above: In life and its tests, we must be our most intelligent and logically sane and honest with ourselves first before we are logical, sane and unflappable with anyone else, even family or close friends. We must not only be a voice of reason for others, but we must be a thought and action of reason for ourselves. Sure what I am saying makes a lot of sense even to me, but what really makes sense is when it is honestly practiced and worked to create the desired order, so in a rare personal piece of subjective advice to you, I suggest that you put the above advice into practice to create genuine and working harmony in your life, and to become a victor instead of a victim.
Yes, the victim mentality, this mentality is so horrible and unworkable, that it deserves a paragraph of its own in this article. Not a good or laudatory paragraph, but, a scathing and derisive paragraph against that mentality. When you look at things from a "lose" instead of a "win" point of view, you are most definitely slated to lose in every genuine way that counts because you have given up before you even have begun to fight, like a race horse going out of the gate knowing it is going to lose and ending up nine lengths back of the second to last horse, or a poker player with a great hand in a losing bluff when he did not need to bluff at all.
My point is that a "losing point of view" with fear in it never works, you must muster and be patiently, honestly tactful no matter what. That is the deeper meaning behind my Father saying to me when I was a little boy "you either do or you do not, there is no in between", sure his words were a little less formal than that, but you get the point I think and know, in that order, because of the theme of this article and what it is about.
In many of my articles, honesty and realistically handling situations are themes, but none more than this one when you are in a situation where "the chips are down" and you have to work from "the bottom" and total mayhem is in your mind to the level that "you should panic" (note that those last words were in quotes), that is the time to keep your calm and be realistically disciplined, not the other way around. That is the time where everything counts most and should be realistically and calmly approached.
Your thinking is your life many self help books say, well nothing is more real and honestly true than that when it comes to chaos, mayhem and bad situations in your or my life, is there? I have to say to that seemingly long question: no, nothing is more real and working than than your own thinking properly applied. You are the committee that deals with your problems in life and your thinking is the great decider of how you deal with everything. In short, when it comes to problem solving, patience, tact, honesty and self honesty is the key. There are no short cuts.
My article may sound overly simple to some, but it is the most realistic thing in existence and the moist important thing in existence, to solve problems and advance past them. After all what are the greatest computers God or existence ever created for? Meaning our brains, minds and all the accouterments within them. They are for us to use to tactfully and honestly solve our problems and think, that is it.
In fact, I can say honestly: that is what consciousness is for in every genuine way. If it was for panic, we would be the rank and file animals with no consciousness, but a fight, flight or attack mechanism that takes its place without consciousness to direct the whole life or reality to really work. So we can think, we can consciously live, let us use it all to be more realistic, honest and workable, not less. Ever more. That is what it comes down to, our choice.
My name is Joshua Clayton, I am a freelance writer based in Inglewood, California. I also write under a few pen-names and aliases, but Joshua Clayton is my real name, and I write by that for the most part now. I am a philosophical writer and objective thinker and honest action taker. I also work at a senior center in Gardena, California as my day job, among other things, but primarily I am a writer.
As a kid I did construction work with my Dad which taught me many things like plumbing, hard labor and electrical systems, and I took notes for my Dad's home poker games at my Uncle Johnnie Gilmore's house, so I have a lot of life experience, sure. But I went to Cal State Dominguez Hills College, UCLA, and El Camino Junior College and learned a lot, but never got around to getting a degree, just lots of money spent, good grades and some credits. So, here I am currently freelance writing and working at a senior center for a living. But enough details of my life, what I do is not what I am.
So here is what I enjoy, I enjoy reading, listening to music (everything from Beetoven, Strauss and Bach to The Meters, ELO and The Band and Dylan/Garcia and The Grateful Dead also, when they were the Grateful Dead. Well, as you can tell by SOME of the music I listen to, I am a very eclectic person.) I am also a deep science fiction fan and as said before, a lover of books. If I were to go into everything it would take thousands of words and I only have about three hundred words here, of which I have used 290 of already. Well, I end here. Thanks. Joshua Clayton.
